Boston War Memorials Website Debuted by UMass Boston

In recognition of the Medal of Honor Society holding its annual convention in Boston this September for an unprecedented third time, UMass Boston has created a website that identifies and provides the history of all the war memorials in the city of Boston. Medal of Honor recipients Staff Sergeant Ryan Pitts, Colonel Jack Jacobs, Colonel Harvey Barnum, Captain Thomas Kelley, and Captain Thomas Hudner provided oral histories of their service and actions that resulted in them being awarded the medal. UMass Boston student veterans also created the The South Boston Medal of Honor Audio Walk as part of the course "Oral History and the Veteran Experience" taught by Prof. Erin Anderson.
